forfeit their employment.

https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/jobs/residency-requirement.cfm

The Charter of the City of St. Louis requires persons employed on a full time basis by the City to reside in the City. Persons may apply for employment with the City regardless of their residency.

Persons who do not reside in the City of St. Louis at the time of application must take up residence in the City within 120 days of completion of their initial working test (probationary) period.

Applicants who do not reside in the City of St. Louis and are not willing to move into the City will not be considered.

City employees must maintain their residence in the City or forfeit their employment.
