left and right we're at odds on how to proceed. But they both wanted to go to the same place.
If both sides wanted to get to Oregon, one would want to go through Canada and proceed due south. The other would go to California and proceed due north. But they both wanted to get to the same place.
Today, one side wants to go to Oregon, the other one wants to go to Massachusetts. A compromise of going to Kansas is not acceptable to either side.
One side will win, one side will lose. This is very different in my opinion than it has ever been.
