It approaches (but does not rise to) incitement to riot. He is feeding an already frenzied social just warrior brigade who as we have seen, needs neither a quantity of "evidence" or accuracy of evidence to go shopping at the foot locker.
The reputation of the police department has been sullied.
Not sure why you think slander is ok. Or why you think this is not slander. And libel, after his grandstanding civil rights attorney committed the words to print.
This is not insignificant.
You may not yell fire in a crowded theatre.
You may not speak ill of barrack obama.
You may not impugn the reputation of a public figure.
You may not threaten the life of the president, except for DJTrump.
Lying is not a crime. But malicious lies to hurt someone's reputation or business is called slander. We have laws about that.
