Good News/Bad News...

Good news for Southeast Florida, but bad news for the Keys, Ft Meyers and possibly Tampa...Irma made a little jog closer towards Cuba overnight, which pushed her track farther west before the upcoming turn north. She is back to a high end Cat 4, but there's not a lot of difference between that and a low end Cat 5.
Key West and Marathon are going to get absolutely slammed!
Everyone that evacuated from Ft Lauderdale and Miami to the west/northwest side of the state will now need to get back in their cars and come back home to get away from the hurricane.
I'll continue to prepare, though. I'm up drinking my morning coffee and after breakfast and a shower, I'll lower the storm shutters on my patio then move things away from the windows in my living room. Hopefully, my bedroom window won't breach because a dry bed is so much easier to sleep in.
