Odom tried that last year with Cross, and the defense was a disaster.

Odom might prove to be a great DC who doesn't cut it as a head coach. Or maybe not. But if the defense doesn't improve significantly throughout the year, Sterk should highly encourage Odom to invest in an experienced DC to run the defense and allow Odom to commit more attention to running the program overall.
