on the CR - then the Democrats would have no card to play in December. By agreeing to a 3 month CR (continuing resolution) it allows the Dems to demand concessions from the GOP come December or the GOP will have to shut down the govt. It was a rookie move. And NOW - they know he can be played. You say art of the deal.
