Again, you're someone that seems to struggle grasping basic science. No reputable scientist has said climate change has caused this year's hurricanes to be more severe. No one has said "ONLY this years". Again, that's making shyt up.

Does climate change lead to more intense tropical cyclones? Under the right conditions, the answer is it's highly likely. Under the right conditions is the key there. Cyclones don't just form because the water is warm.

1) Water temperatures of at least 79.7˚F
2) Rapid cooling with height
3) High humidity
4) Low amounts of shear (a BIG key)
5) More than 5˚ latitude away from the equator
6) Preexisting weather disturbance

Think of a hurricane like a Carnot heat engine. A tropical cyclone's primary energy sources is heat from evaporation of water from the ocean's surface, which ultimately recondenses into clouds and rain. IF you add more heat to this engine, then you would end up with energy and thus stronger hurricanes. This is simple science really.

The reason you're hearing of more hurricanes and more intense hurricanes this year is because of their relation to land. We had a category 5 last year. Matthew.
