It sounds like a simple statement but if Lock has indeed gone to the next level he should be able to get something done against an SEC defense not yet considered among the elite.
Kind of like Corby Jones rushing and throwing for some of those mind boggling statistics he had and literally outscoring opponents when we had a suspect defense in 1997. Jones proved he was big time and an elite talent. If Lock falls flat and is unable to elevate the team these FCS fat stats mean nothing.
