With Charles Lindbergh, who was allowed to see the enormous build up of the Luftwaffe, the German Air Force, as he was quite admired in Germany. He was impressed & secretly warned the US military, but remained opposed to entering the war.

Lindbergh famously called out & criticized publically with speeches the 3 groups he said were moving America towards war - the British, the Roosevelt Administration & the American Jews, who he expressed sympathy for given their plight in Germany at the same time.

This Committee was founded by a Yale Law graduate, who was the son of the founder of Quaker Oats & it also included future President Gerald Ford, Walt Disney, Frank Lloyd Wright, novelist Sinclair Lewis, poet E.E. Cummings, Gore Vidal, Sagent Shriver & many other notables (actor, actresses, politicians, business leaders - Chairman of Sears-Roebuck. Also, the leader of & son of the founder of Morton Salt Company, etc, etc).

They did a 180 & competely changed their tune & disbanded the AFC a day after Pearl Harbor!
