There certainly isn't much difference between the actual mindsets of Rs and Ds

I used to live in Houston. That city is a poster child for poor planning. Just build and build and build. Traffic issue? Build the highways bigger. Oh wait, you already developed the area around the highway while you were making it bigger, so that 20-lane Katy Freeway will remained jammed. But oh, those local investors are richer! And Houston can use its fake title of "one of the fastest growing cities in America" to attract more people and "growth". Rinse and repeat.
