a moderate? A moderate, someone who can see both sides is a true journalist. I have political opinions. Historically, I've been a republican, though I would consider myself more of a moderate republican by today's standards.

I covered a large oil spill recently. The owner of the company that caused the spill lied through his teeth to me. Tried to be my buddy so I would be kind reporting the story. How do I know he lied? He tells me it's a couple gallons of oil and maybe a barrel at most. When I flew over the creek the oil had been spilled in, the creek was solid black. Trees, grass, etc all black with oil residue. I was criticized by the owner of the company after the story aired for being a liberal, environmental journalist out to make his company go bankrupt. People on the right agreed with him, while people on the left said I wasn't harsh enough. Who is right? I reported on the facts. Despite the facts with video evidence to back them up, some people's minds are made up well before any news story.
