that go unnoticed. I hear stories of them reviving the same overdosed heroin addict for the 5th or 6th time where they show up and save him, knowing they're going to repeat it in a month or two. Have to admit, on the 5th trip to the same guy, I might be inclined to take the long route.
I'm all for giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm also wary of militarizing them. Lots of those jobs don't pay much. If you don't pay much, you're not drawing from the best and the brightest, except for the cause folks. And even if it's just the result of a brighter spotlight, there have been a lot of questionable situations in the last year.
