It's the opposite of what the term libertarian meant when it was conceived in Europe - as it targeted both socialist and capitalist establishment powers.
It has been turned into a strong supporter of capitalism - and without any of the checks and balances of governance.
It's literally nothing like what it was supposed to be.
It's sucks in casual thinkers who fall for the - I'm socially liberal and fiscally conservative tag-line.
