all things. That's what these folks are trying to say, although they are doing it badly.
Do need Asians need role models? Maybe not, but they certainly have them.
To your third point, rich folks have a built-in advantage and their kids profit from that advantage. Some of it is genetic (smart parents tend to beget smart kids), and having smart parents also means you have built in teachers at home. If the level of educational opportunity were equal, the idea is that more lower class students would have better outcomes. Lower class kids may not have two teachers at home.
