voluntarily joined... and who could leave at will, with communism, which is a government that necessarily rules in a totalitarian way imposing its will on everyone in the society, micromanaging their lives and their economic decisions.

Can you give examples of communist countries where the people loved their government? Neither of you mentioned Cuba. Are there some good healthy ones that you could point us to?
