I think many black students genuinely feel racism, or uncomfortable in society. Some of it is absolutely legit and other times it's in their head. Either way, that's a negative outcome for that person.
This looks to me like this is a form of therapy. Therapy definitely isn't for all people, but it's certainly helpful for many. And in this case, if there are blacks that feel like they need to hear from others like them and be able to speak their minds and hear reactions from peers, I'm sure many will find that attractive. Just as there are likely many (many, many more I suspect) black students that don't feel like they need this type of therapy.
I hope it works and Mizzou becomes a pillar for this type of Education (Growth).
