However, I'm operating in today's world, and it's obvious the pendulum in the US is swinging in the exact opposite direction from your political mindset. If we were having a theoretical conversation, I'm sure we'd agree on most things.
Rather than argue for sweeping changes in the political mindsets of the majority of people, most of which don't care to know anything about the process at all, I try to make points to stem the tide. At the very least bring attention to the things that I don't think are complete wastes or power grabs, though I know there's a conversation to be had there in relation to the military.
