higher crime rate than STL & it is much more widespread throughout the KC's significantly smaller metro area.
When you measure the true, metro area crime rate (City & surrounding metro counties, including violent crimes, STL falls to the low 90s in ranking, while kc is in the low 30s!!
The measuring of the City of STL only because it is one of 2 cities in the country that does not sit in a County skews the stat more than any other.
The violent crimes referenced only takes place in a relatively small area of the city too!
