The correspondents griped about a peer reviewed journal publishing a paper that challenged the global warming orthodoxy. They threatened to stop submitting papers to that particular journal if it didn't reject such papers in the future. Pointing out that this was published in a "low-tier, low-impact journal" might, and probably does reflect the fact that the warmists are boycotting the journals that don't publish their papers exclusively. The bottom line is that the warmist big shots are protecting their own standing to the detriment of true science.
