the Howard kids are university students. Bright enough to graduate high school and get into a University to further their careers and they fall victim to the troll attempt and act out in the very racist response that the trolls were looking for.

The white kids are dumb enough to put themselves potentially into harm's way to get 5 minutes of attention and be used to further someone's agenda.
