You arent thinking through your position very well. Papadopoulos was facilitating back channels and meetings with Putin et al during the campaign. THAT is the reason Trump knew about him. There is literally no other reason at all that Trump would name him as one of 6 people. One of those 6 dont belong -- the kid that was a low level staffer, who was in constant contact with Russian brass.
