Since 2012, the year when Colorado voters passed recreational marijuana legalization, the number of crimes in Denver has grown by about 44 percent

Colorado saw one of the country’s largest percentage increases in homelessness last year, according to new numbers out from the federal government.
The numbers come from a one-night count of Colorado’s homeless back in January. That census found more than 10,000 homeless people in the state, a 6 percent increase over the 2015 count.
