to enforce laws. They cannot pledge loyalty to ANY individual because that individual at some point may become a subject of their investigation.
The FBI's loyalty should be to the American people - not to a politician.
I've never had an employer use the word "loyalty" - I've never used the word "loyalty" when hiring someone. Seems rather narcissistic to include "loyalty" to management in a discussion with potential candidates - their loyalty should be to the company (stakeholders), not to another employee of the company. Frequently, professional standards require a greater duty to the customer/client - than to some middle manager.
Any sense of "loyalty" should be implied and not have to be stated...I guess when you're hiring fry cooks at Mcdonalds, you have to break it down to them that they shouldn't be patronizing BK.
