Rather, and in order to feel good about themselves and nothing else, they concentrate on the fairy tale of man made global warming.
Even if that were true, there is nothing we could so short of wrecking the world wide economy for the next 50 years to reduce the global temperature by 0.001 degree. (And in 50 years they'd find that ....oooops, the planet is actually cooling to dangerous levels. Let's start over.)
And if they did something they could not measure the impact of what we did anyway.
But they would feel good. And isn't that the most important thing?
