has fought a defensive war in 150 years, those soldiers unfortunately died in vain. That is, unless you want to hold up their unfortunate deaths for purposes of furthering an empire which forces its tax subjects to work 4 months out of their year for its unilateral benefit. Obviously, these soldiers did not die for any notion of freedom.
It's a real shame, and Memorial Day is a time to reflect on that.
