as an observer of the natural tendencies of human beings.

The truth is government does a lot of bad things, but government does many more good things, things that resolve issues that you never have to deal with because government has created a solution for it.

Human beings are compelled in their lives by self-interest. Left unchecked, this self-interest leads to unbridled greed and destruction of others.

Not everyone in society needs to be checked by government. But government serves as the outer walls of the asylum from those who want to do you harm.
