Politifact is less than unbiased here. They acknowledge that state department money was use to start up and fund OneVoice in Israel. OneVoice then merged with V15 whose stated goal was to defeat Netanyahu. So it is quibbling to say that state department funds were not used in a campaign against Netanyahu. The first group set up the infrastructure that was used by the opposition group.
The United States interfered in Israeli elections, fact. I would suggest that even setting up the original 'get out the vote' group was US interference. What would our reaction be if we found Russian agents trying to register US citizens for elections?
