So why do you mock and ridicule the process of finding out? The effort to arrive at the truth?

It could end up working in Trump's favor, though he seems to be following the script for making himself look guilty.

Whatever the case, the chorus of "There's nothing to see here..." or "If there was something, we'd have seen it by now..." just doesn't hold water.
