last night about the decision to fire Comey and the mixed messages about why it was done.
The reality is Trump had enough and wanted to make a change. That may or may not make sense given the optics of a supposed Russia investigation, but hell, as POTUS, you get criticized by some group no matter what you do.
What the WH can't seem to get right is how to pitch it to the public. Their initial messaging to set the tone and agenda has been off about 5 different times now, where they've had to backtrack. They need to get that smoothed over.
