lly win out and the Cubs have a great lineup.
After 31 games, the Cubs had a starter ERA that was twice what it was through 31 games last year (about 2.3 v. 4.6). They had half the quality starts (11 v. 22) as last year. Their record was 16-15 this year and 25-6 last year.
Starting pitching is, and always will be, the most important single performance factor in MLB over the long haul.
I'd be delighted with 2 out of 3 and won't cry in my beer if it's 1 out of 3.
