candidate trump and president trump is silly. there's no question trump COULD fire comey or that there was basis to do so. however, the continuous praise of comey (but for the suggestion he didn't go far enough with hrc), the timing regarding the investigation/request for funds, and the perception that trump regularly and consistently utilizes pretext as basis for action is cause for significant concern.
of course, you know this. but it's easy to rile people up and call us strange.
