DC right now. In litigation, the heat is low when the pleadings are filed. If anything, ego maniacs like Trump love the pleading phase.
Then paper discovery starts. The heat goes up. Then it's third party subpoena discovery, via depositions and record requests. Things get hotter.
Then the litigants get deposed. Hotter.
Then you start careening towards trial. Hotter and hotter.
Then you settle.
Trump looks like a guy ready to settle.
