They are investigating all of his shady business dealings between 2014 to present. He is the first of Trump's admin with real dirt.

Is it connected with Trump? YES. Trump has 9 people on his campaign/administration with ties to Russia. Flynn had shady business dealings. Trump also hired him despite Obama's pleas. He kept him on as NSA even after Yates told him not to.

Does it implicate Trump in a crime? No. But Im guessing they want Flynn to spill the beans. If he wants immunity, this is how it is achieved.
