And recommended he be relieved of duties. Why wasn't his new boss in place sooner? Well, look no further than how long it took to get the Cabinet in place.

As for investigations, Comey was not likely leading any of them personally so do you just think they will stop?

Anyway, so your only problem is the timing of the firing not that he was fired.
