but not all topics which is why I said you're speaking in absolutes or extremes. but that "box" I put myself in describes a global view of my political leanings better than "democrat" or "republican". I didn't think it would turn into a "I know what that means more than he does" argument, otherwise I would not have called myself that.

Which brings us full circle back to cnk's point. By using that definition to pigeon hole myself, we just spent time debating those definitions instead of actually talking about what it means in terms of specific social or fiscal topics.
