A few that caught my eye (1) study claiming total long term cost of Iraq, Afganistan and Syrian wars for US is $4.7 trillion, (2) under Trump's proposed budget 68% of discretionary spending is for the military and homeland security; and (3) US paid top 100 defense contractors $175 billion in 2015.

I am glad I bought defense stocks in October. My reading of campaign rethoric at that time was that no matter who won the election military spending was going up.
