Why is it moral for govt to force people to pay for the misfortune of others?
Explain it to me in simple terms.
Everyone is less fortunate than someone else, you realize that, right?
why doesn't the guy with a 142 IQ pay the rent for a guy with a 136 IQ?
How about LeBron James be on the hook for my heat/electric?
You find it very noble to steal from others in the name of compassion.
There's nothing noble nor moral about your philosophy here.
If you want to help the unfortunate, do so.
