The Senate rules are not the system of checks and balances laid out by the Constitution. The three branches of government are the system of checks and balances. The Senate is just one-half of one branch. They make their own rules for their procedures. These rules are not in the Constitution. So, maybe we can cut you a little slack and just say that you're an ignorant jackass. Of course, if you insist on your mistake then you are a lying jackass.
