I don't really think that millennials are walking away - they see the hypocrisy in many christians and thus reject the churches that are espousing the hypocrisy.

They may be looking for places that are more welcoming and tolerent of racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual orientation, etc. difference. Many churches that preach the prosperity gospel and effectively worship money idolatry over jesus/god are just turning off the younger folks that want to be CONNECTED to others.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
