Debate. When one side tries to shut down debate they are shutting down science. Science is never settled, there are always more questions to ask. But currently many of those questions cannot be answered on the climate change. So instead of doing what science has alway done which is to say you are right let's look at this further your side just wants to shut down debate.
Consensus leads to stagnation. Every move forward in science has come from someone asking why or what if. If you get your way those questions will no longer be allowed. What happens to science then.
Advancements in general physics had pretty much ended with Newton, the science was settled until this rebel named Einstein came along and asked the simple question do the laws remain the same if we change our frame of reference? Suddenly physics was no longer settled science.
Do you really believe we know everything there is to know about our climate?
