that anyone actually visited that statue for the purpose of visiting that statue? I can see folks visiting the others as part of some history tour or Civil War interest, but truly, why would anyone have even created this statue in the first place?

That being said, if a majority of the duly-elected folks want to take it down, then that's on them. Seems like a waste of resources to build it and a waste to take it down.
