of a tax cut this year seems to be declining and the likelihood of significant spending cuts are remote at least some of the bleeding has stopped. Had the hag won the election we would be looking at significant tax hikes and a massive increase in spending on social programs. Sometimes gridlock is an acceptable alternative.
