Brad Underwood. Four years of coaching on his resume? That's it.
Sure he's been to tourney all four, but he inherited a 27-5 SFA team, and Ford's recruits at OSU. And the lumberjacks have always been decent in a weak conference, and Ford knows how to recruit. Not really tough circumstances to step into for Underwood.
Unlike Cuonzo making a mediocre Missouri State team relevant again (won MVC title), and dealing with Pearl's sanctions at Tennessee (went to Sweet 16).
Underwood has been handed everything from his predecessors. I just think 4 years in, is way to early to tell how good he really is. Especially as a recruiter. He hasn't even been in one place long enough to tell. Plus, who has he recruited at the P-6 conference level? Without help from Ford. Just curious if he was able to nab someone big at OSU, in his one year. He did an OK job with Ford's recruits, but who has he gotten himself. Again, I don't know.
But the dude reminds me of a fat, used car salesman. Not buying the grade USA Today gave his hire.
