when the season starts, there are 2-3 teams with a legitimate chance to win it all. Then on top of that the season and playoffs are so long. So basically you have 8 months of irrelevant play leading up to the 1 series everyone wants to see. Is there anything less dramatic than the NBA playoffs? Every year it's Lebron's team vs. the best team in the west. It takes 2 months to get to the series everyone already knows is going to happen.
