Stokes sort of lost his confidence with his shot halfway through his (i think, sophomore?) season. To the point where the defense would back off and not guard him.
That, coupled with the fact that nobody else would move without the ball, let to a LOT of zone defense being played against Mizzou, with a lot of success.
It was a glaring weakness of what otherwise could've been a great team.
Clemons comes in, was another streaky scorer to go with Gilbert, the rest is history.
