He does a much better job of recruiting on the HS level than any of the Irons at Vashon.
Can't remember the specifics, but last year (2015-2016) East won the state championship. Penny was the official 'head coach' but I believe coaches had to have a college degree to coach (stand on the sideline) in games. The team had a figurehead to do so during the action, but there was no doubt who was in charge during timeouts.
Some of those specifics are a bit cloudy, but it was interesting to watch.
