In the SEC, I would rate it above the Mississippi and Alabama schools, probably A&M, Georgia, and South Carolina as well. Every coach since Dale Brown (except Johnny Jones) has won a conference title there. They went to a final four 11 or 12 years ago (most SEC schools have never been), have been to multiple final fours, a big-budget athletic department, reasonable access to talent, tradition, etc.
They've been pretty bad ever since we've been in the SEC, but I think that had more to do with Johnny Jones than the potential to win there. They've also been seen more as a football school after Nick Saban went there, but that may change.
