The SEC would be a laughing stock in football if they went 4-52 in the out of conference like you so obsessively want them to.
Same in basketball. If the SEC was was winless like you desire in the OOC Mizzou could go undefeated in conference and they wouldn't get an NCAA bid. If the conference totally flops in the post season it just leads to a lot of bashing and bad PR. Every coach will tell you they want the other conference teams to always do well OOC.
