I think Republicans have tried for 2 years to dump Trump. So, no, I think they have exhausted their ability to deal with him.
I think he says and does some ridiculous sh.t, which he probably shouldnt. And because of that, people are inclined to prove him wrong either because they are the ones who are attacked or because they are embarrassed that he said it to begin with.
