Anderson was a good hire.
Frank Haith was OK, there were not a lot of good options that year, and it didn't help that the Big 12 was collapsing at the time and it was unclear if MU would remain a power conference school.
The Kim Anderson hire was by choice, not necessity. We had a bunch of blue-haired fools who wanted to give Kim a chance, despite the fact that several good coaches, including Ben Howland, were begging for the job.
As far as paying our BB coach more than the FB coach... our FB coach is the lowest paid in the SEC (and rightfully so) - it won't be an artificial limit for the salary of our next BB coach.
It's extremely important for the admin to get this hire right, after what it has put the fan base through the past 3 years.
